A few nights ago Joyful Sound Qt. sang at the Deer Flat Free Methodist church. A sweet little lady in her 80's came up to me to relate the following story: it seems her late brother, Sam Merrill, was a minister and pastored in Harrison, AR. One day, many years ago, he met a man named Albert outside a local barbershop. The two gentlemen visited for awhile and became friends. Near the end of the conversation Pastor Sam asked Albert a question, "would you like to become a Christian?" Albert responded that he would indeed. Sam then prayed and led him to the Lord. Albert became a wonderful Christian and a prolific songwriter of gospel songs. His name?
Albert E. Brumley. Mr. Brumley wrote hundreds of gospel songs - one of them is the famous, "I'll Fly Away."
It was a real treat for JSQ to hear this first hand story. Praise God!

We DON"T want to HESITATE to let you know OVER AND OVER again WHAT A TIME we had at your concert in Notus Idaho. Your music selection is such a blessing to us. WHAT A PRECIOUS FRIEND is Jesus to us. Because of HIS MARVELOUS LOVE, I'VE BEEN CHANGED. He gives me PEACE that I will COME AND DINE with him someday in CANNON'S LAND because MY SIN'S ARE GONE. HE TOUCHED ME because of HIS BOUNDLESS LOVE. I can't wait to TRADE A CROSS FOR A CROWN. When I'm going through a storm in my life, sometimes he calms the storm and sometimes HE CALMS ME. JESUS IS PRECIOUS and he tells us I'm THE LAMB. After we left the concert, we got home and the LOWER LIGHTS BE BURNING at our home & we realized there is a message for everyone in the songs you sing. Keep it up. Dallon and I can't wait to see Jesus in HEAVEN. (the only song you didn't sing that night and of course Dallon's favorite.!)

I've always said i get more out of singing than listening to some one preach. I love your cd and all the people that I have given it to also say they enjoy the message. The group needs to take a business trip to Minnesota. It would be well worth the trip. Hope to see you sing this summer.

I enjoy the songs and blessing i get when i hear your songs. I of course could not go without saying my brother Al is a great inspiration to my self and our family.
